Why distribute for BAT

Wholesale only, we never compete with our own distributors for the end customer. Your account, your territory, your margin.

Atlanta, GA · Distributor-first, always

We never sell around you

End customers who contact us directly are routed to a distributor. Your relationship stays yours, we supply the equipment and stay in the background.

Dealer pricing & real margin

Wholesale numbers with room built in for you. Stop overpaying at the source, and stop watching your margin disappear into someone else’s list price.

Retention-grade quality

A quality defect rate under 0.005% means your customers reorder consumables and expand lines with you, instead of calling you about failures.

Support behind every sale

30+ years of plating experience on tap for your quotes, specs and troubleshooting. Send your customer’s part number or photo, we spec it with you, under your flag.

This is the work we supply for. Every part, tank and rectifier we quote ends up somewhere like this, which is why we spec to your line instead of reading from a catalogue.

Line card

What we carry. Every quote comes with a real lead time, consumables turn fastest, engineered assemblies take longer, and we tell you which is which up front.

Common questions

Ordering · Compatibility · Terms
Do you sell direct to end customers?

No. BAT Automation Supply is a wholesale house, equipment and consumables are sold through our distributor network only. If you are an end user, we will gladly connect you with a distributor in your area. If you resell plating equipment or supplies, register to become a distributor and we will come back with dealer pricing and terms.

How do I become a distributor?

Fill in the short application on the Become a Distributor page, company, contact, approximate plating-equipment revenues and the products you want quoted first. A person reviews every application and comes back with dealer pricing, usually the same business day.

Do you actually stock in the USA?

We are based in Atlanta, Georgia and ship stocked items from here. Not everything is on our shelf, engineered assemblies and some equipment are built or sourced through our supplier network. The difference is we tell you which is which, with a real lead time, before you order.

Will an aftermarket part void my equipment warranty?

In the United States, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act generally prevents a manufacturer from voiding a warranty simply because you used a third-party consumable. A manufacturer can deny a claim if it shows the part caused the failure. We supply parts built to the original specification, and we will tell you plainly when a part is not an exact equivalent. If you are under an active service contract, check its terms first.

Can I pay by purchase order or get net terms?

Yes for established accounts. Send a credit application and trade references through the quote form and we will set up net terms. First orders are typically card or prepay while the account is opened.

Are you set up for tax-exempt and resale purchases?

Yes. Send your Georgia resale or exemption certificate with your first order and we will flag the account so tax is not applied.

How do I know which filter cartridge fits my chamber?

Three things determine fit: cartridge length, end cap style (DOE, 222, 226, flat or fin), and micron rating. Send us the chamber make and model, or a photo of the old cartridge end cap, and we will match it.

How do I know when to change a filter?

Most shops change on differential pressure rather than on a calendar. A rise of roughly 10 to 15 PSI over the clean starting pressure usually means the element is loaded. Falling flow rate and rising haze in the bath are the other two signals.

How is freight handled on heavy items?

Small parcel is calculated at checkout. Anything over about 150 lb, oversized, or hazmat ships LTL freight and is quoted separately so you are not overcharged by a flat rate. Tanks and large chambers usually ship on a pallet with liftgate available.

What if I only have the old part and no numbers?

Photograph the nameplate, the end cap, or the part itself and attach it to the quote form with your machine or tank details. We will identify it and come back with a compatible part, a price and availability.
